Christmas Party Theme Ideas for Teens

One way to make your party easy to plan is to include your guests in the process! If you choose a theme ahead of time, you can ask the guests to wear or bring something to fit the theme. Here are some Christmas party theme ideas:

Ugly sweater party

Ugly sweater parties have been popular at Christmastime for years! Each guest chooses an ugly sweater (or a cute or funny sweater) to wear, and then if you want, you could include a fashion show, vote for the winners, give out prizes…whatever sounds fun to you!

Gingerbread House Decorating Party

Everyone loves to decorate gingerbread houses! You can buy the house kits ahead of time, or just make gingerbread houses out of graham crackers (that’s what we did when I was a kid)! I found this article about graham cracker house making to help you plan how to do it.

You’ll need some candy for the decorating. You can ask each guest to bring some, or you could provide it yourself. Here are some ideas:

Christmas Party Snacks for Teens and Tweens

My favorite place to buy party snacks is Trader Joe’s! If you have one near you, head over there for tasty bags of popcorn and chips, holiday cookies, and frozen appetizers and pizza! And if you are having a big party, Costco is probably the most cost-effective choice for shopping for party snacks. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s or Costco nearby, here are some easy snacks you could order:

It’s always fun to send your guests home with a little gift! Or, if you play party games, these would also make cute prizes!
