DIY Foaming Hand Soap
It is easy and fun to make DIY foaming hand soap! This is the basic recipe. You can adjust the ingredients to suit your preferences.
Equipment
- mason jar (16 oz size)
- foaming soap pump
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Castille soap
- 1 tsp aloe vera juice
- 1 tsp oil (such as jojoba, sweet almond, or fractionated coconut)
- 10 drops essential oil
- distilled water (boiled and cooled water is fine)
Instructions
- Remove the lid from the mason jar
- Put the Castile soap, aloe vera juice, and your choice of oil into the jar.
- Stir well.
- Add desired essential oils
- Fill to top with water. Don't forget to leave enough room at the top so it doesn't overflow when you put the pump in.
- Put on the pump! You are done!
- As you use it, you can swirl to ensure ingredients are mixed.
Notes
Here are some of my favorite combinations:
1)Unscented castile soap with jojoba oil and 10 drops lavender essential oil
2)Hemp almond castile soap with sweet almond oil and 8 drops Thieves essential oil blend and 3 drops cinnamon essential oil
